Rosie graduated as a psychologist in 2007 with a First Class Honours and has recently been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology. Rosie is passionate about mental health and well-being and has a background in Naturopathy and holistic health. Rosie has been assisting people with complex needs on the Sunshine Coast for the last 16 years. She has worked as a family support counsellor with the Salvation Army and a Community Housing Organisation.. Rosie understands the difficulties faced by adolescents and their parents, having been a single parent and experiencing firsthand the difficulties that face young people in the community, as well as having practical experience working with youth services.
Rosie has been trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Organisational Psychology.
Rosie worked for three years on an International Research Project ‘Work-Life Balance’ and is passionate about creating happy, healthy workplaces. She currently teaches psychology at University of Sunshine Coast as a sessional staff member. Rosie provides supervision for community organisations. She has also been an active member of Toastmasters, understanding that the fear of public speaking is an issue for many people.
